Killarney RFC News: Minis Christmas Party next Sunday

Storms:

In a weekend where the weather wreaked havoc across the county, Storm Desmond wreaked havoc to many sporting fixtures across the country. Killarney RFC was not immune to the storm as Desmond caused the cancellation of fixtures and training. Basically everything on Saturday was cancelled. The U14 ‘s were due to travel to Cromane to play a match V Killorglin but this game had to be cancelled. The minis training was cancelled on safety grounds as the worst of the weather hit saturday morning, we felt that it would be unfair to expect parents to travel or kids to train. We will be back training next weekend.

Fethard V KRFC Senior XV:

Our seniors travelled to Fethard RFC to play the next round of the Munster Junior League on Sunday. Following the very poor weather on Friday and Saturday, Sunday was a very mild, dry day and was perfect for rugby. Chris Myers crossed the line for us while the returning Padraig Sheahan had a great day from the boot, kicking 2 penalties and a conversion. The game finished 13 – 12 to the visitors. Well done to Ger Moynihan’s charges and a huge welcome back to Padraig, who has returned from injury. This was Padraig’s first full game in almost two years. Good to see you back!

U18’s V Shannon:

Killarney/Castleisland took on Shannon at Crageens on Sunday and narrowly lost out on a scoreline of 8 points to 5 points. Hard luck lads.
