U16 Result: Tralee 7 – 12 Killarney
An excellent match which sees Killarney sit on top of the table. Scorers tries – Craig McKensie Vass and Gary Randles. Conversion Donnacha Grealy. Well done everyone and especially coaches Seamus Grealy, John OโConnell, Eoin Seery, Bill Stack and Leo Randles. Well done lads!

Killarney u16s travelled to Tralee for a match that would determine who would be top of the Munster u16 conference 2. On a cold wet December Sunday the tams took to the pitch for what turned out to be a great game of rugby. Killarney started with the wind and started very strongly. On 6 minutes a try from captain Craig Mckenzie Vass was as a result of excellent forward play with the conversion duly slotted over by Donnacha Grealy. On 20 mins an excellent counter rucking move and quick off loading saw Gary Randles go over in the corner. The second half was a very different affair with Tralee attacking constantly and were rewarded with a converted try to bring the game to 12 to 7. The final 20 minutes saw every spectator take multitude of breath intakes such was the quality of tackling and defending. The game finished up with tralee camped on the Killarney 22 and no matter what was tried there was no way this Killarney team were going to concede. Well done to the squad on the day. Stand out performances were numerous and included Craig McKenzie Vass superb tackling and counter rucking against a particularly strong no 8 from Tralee, Matt McAulliffe continued his strong season, Brendy O Donoghue at hooker, Odeniz Koyun at prop, Evan Mannix ferocity and unrelenting tackling, Sam Casey showed his passion and made an excellent line break, Padraig Talbot showed for the ball all over the pitch, John McCarthy won an great lineout to easy pressure on the Killarney line, Peter walsh continued at 9 and showed quick feet, Donnacha Grealy was very good with both hands and feet until he had to go off after a high hit. The back line of Liam Randles, tomas Clifford Mark Sheahan, Jose Ferrero & Gary Randles showed that whatever forwards can do, the backs are well capable of the same โ tralee attack after attack was foiled. Cian Murphy came on in the first half and along with Dion OโNeill contributed hugely to an outstanding game. Others on the day also included James Kennelly, Jack OโConnell, Dan Twomey, Rob Nealon, josh Campbell, Adam Cronin and Adam McSweeney
