KRFC Girls enjoy road trip to Dublin
Last Sunday our Killarney RFC girls travelled with coaches and parents to Donnybrook to watch Ireland take on Wales in the Women’s 6 Nations. Armed with a fantastic handmade banner, theycheered on the Irish team, Captain and Kerry native Ciara Griffin.
Day trip
The bus left Aghadoe at 9:30am with fun and singsongs galore on the bus on the way up. The day was cold but our girls were well prepared for the conditions at the D4 venue in the heart of Dublin.
Ireland 35 - 12 Wales
The girls witnessed a great Ireland performance as the home side scored 5 tries to earn the bonus point win and go to 3rd in the championship table behind England and France.
A great day amongst friends
A wonderful day was had by all. Following on from the matches at Ballymalis where we took on Killorglin in a few matches, the girls thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the big smoke with their teammates. Thanks to Denise for organising!
