Killarney RFC U16 on the charge
Last Saturday saw our U16’s finally return to Aghadoe for the second last game of the Pan Munster Cup v Sunday’s Well. A cracking day for rugby and the weather held up to allow for a decent game.
This was a tough physical game with both sides giving all. Scoring opened after 10 minutes to put the visitors ahead by 5.
In the second half Killarney increased the pressure on Sunday’s well with a great break line try from Mark Sheahan. Unfortunately the conversion struck the post on this occasion. Sunday’s Well again put the pressure on the home side and with some good passing managed to get in for their second.
The last 10 minutes saw Killarney piling on the pressure and were unlucky not to have advantage played on occasion.
The final set game of the pan Munster on next Saturday versus Nenagh with the winner of this finishing in third place and into playoffs for a quarter final place.
