Knockreer enjoys feast of Mini rugby:
Last Saturday, Knockreer was a hive of activity as over 150 kids descended on the playing pitches for rugby matches. We hosted Killorglin RFC from U8 – U12 and some fantastic rugby was enjoyed by the huge crowd of spectators who braved the cold weather. The cold but dry weather ensured some fast flowing rugby at all ages.
A huge thanks to Paudie O’Shea and his Killorglin coaches for coming over to us for a few matches. Thanks to our own band of coaches for looking after our charges and to both sets of coaches who refereed the matches in such a positive manner. Thanks to our Minis coordinator for organising the goody bags for all the kids at the end of training and to our parents who helped in giving out the goody bags. Finally a huge well done to all the kids who took part on the day. A fantastic day of mighty rugby played in the spirit of rugby. Well done everyone.
Training resumes this Saturday at Knockreer for all minis and we will travel to Listowel on November the 17th for our first West Munster Blitz. Details to follow.
