Last Saturday our minis travelled to O’Dowd Park to take part in the West Munster Blitz, hosted by Tralee RFC Minis. This was the second time that we played Tralee, having hosted them at Aghadoe a few weeks before. This was the first West Munster Blitz that we were able to partake in as the Killorglin blitz, which was round 1, was postponed in October.
On a perfect morning for rugby, our players and coaches started arriving before 10. With teams also arriving from Dingle and Listowel, we knew a fantastic morning or rugby was on the cards – our minis having hosted each of these three clubs at Aghadoe over recent months.
A fantastic morning of rugby was to be had and the whole club can be very proud of our minis who represented the club with pride. Thanks to everyone who travelled to Tralee.
Thanks to the children who played some fantastic rugby, our wonderful coaches who looked after the kids at each age group and all the parents who travelled and supported our future stars!
A huge thank you to Declan Smith and all at Tralee RFC for the wonderful hospitality and to the players from Tralee RFC, Listowel RFC and Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne for the matches. A wonderful day for all involved. We are scheduled to go to Tralee RFC on Saturday the 21st of December for matches, which will be our last set of matches for the year and before a well deserved Christmas break.
