Killarney RFC congratulates Ava O’Malley on her selection for the Munster Senior Women’s squad for the 2026 Vodafone Interprovincial Championship.

Killarney RFC is immensely proud to congratulate former girls’ player Ava O’Malley on her selection in the Munster Senior Women’s squad for the upcoming 2026 Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship.

Ava came through the girls’ rugby pathway at Killarney RFC before continuing her development with UL Bohemian RFC. She has now been named among the forwards in Munster’s 30-player senior squad and is one of the uncapped players selected for this year’s championship.

Her selection represents another outstanding milestone in a rugby journey that has already included Munster age-grade honours. Ava previously represented Killarney RFC in Munster underage squads, including at U18 level, and her continued progress is a tremendous source of pride for everyone associated with the club.

Ava’s achievement is also a wonderful example for the girls currently playing rugby at Killarney RFC. It demonstrates where talent, commitment and perseverance can lead, and highlights the importance of providing a clear pathway from girls’ rugby into the senior women’s game.

The 2026 Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship begins on Saturday, 8 August, when Munster host Leinster, before Munster face Ulster in Round 2 on Saturday, 15 August.

Everyone at Killarney RFC wishes Ava, her teammates and the entire Munster management team the very best for the championship.

Congratulations, Ava — the Black and Red Army is incredibly proud of you! 🔴⚫
