Killarney Town Champions Set To Bring Clubs Together For Major Fundraising Night
A major night of sport, competition and community fundraising is set to take place in Killarney next month, as clubs from across the town and surrounding areas go head-to-head in a brand-new live event titled Killarney Town Champions.
The event will take place on Friday, February 6th, at the Gleneagle Arena, and will see local sporting clubs compete in a series of fast-paced, crowd-friendly challenges designed to test strength, skill, teamwork and nerve.
Organised in support of Killarney Rugby Football Club’s clubhouse development, the night is also aimed at bringing different sporting codes together under one roof, while raising vital funds for grassroots sport in the area.
Each participating club will be represented by a team of four players, who will be announced in advance and featured in promotional photos and social media content in the lead-up to the event.
Tickets for Killarney Town Champions are priced at a more accessible €20, with selling clubs receiving €10 from every ticket sold, making it a shared fundraising opportunity for all involved. Tickets will be available online from this Friday, with physical tickets to follow once printing is complete.
The event will feature a live audience, a running leaderboard, elimination rounds, bonus challenges and a substantial cash prize for the winning club, with organisers promising a high-energy atmosphere and strong crowd involvement throughout the night.
Event organiser Brendan Fuller said the aim is to create something that feels competitive, inclusive and entertaining for everyone in attendance.
“This isn’t just about Killarney Rugby — it’s about Killarney town. It’s clubs backing clubs, supporters backing their teams and everyone getting behind a night that’s fun, affordable and genuinely meaningful for local sport.”
Doors open at 7:00pm, with the show getting underway at 8:00pm.
Further announcements, including confirmed clubs, player reveals and challenge previews, will be made in the coming days.
