Killarney RFC U12s

Welcome to the Killarney RFC U12 Mini Rugby team – the perfect place for young players to transition into the exciting world of contact rugby while building a lifelong love for the game!

Our U12 squad is made up of players typically aged 11 and 12. This age group marks a key transition stage in the player pathway in a fun, safe, and controlled environment, following the IRFU Mini Rugby principles.

At this level, the focus is on:

Skill Development: Sharpening passing, catching, running lines, and tactical kicking.

Contact Progression: Safely learning the fundamentals of the ruck, maul, and contested scrum.

Teamwork & Fun: Encouraging commitment, discipline, and building lifelong friendships.

Whether players are continuing their journey from U11s or picking up a rugby ball for the first time, everyone is welcome to join our friendly and inclusive team.

Training & Matches

Our coaching team is experienced, Garda-vetted, and committed to making every session engaging and beneficial for all skill levels.

Training: Every Saturday morning from 09:45 to 11:00 at our home grounds in Aghadoe.

Matches: The team participates in regular West Munster Mini Rugby Blitzes and friendly fixtures against other clubs across the region.

Events: We host and attend festivals and social events throughout the season to foster a strong sense of camaraderie and club spirit.
