U10’s enjoy Aviva trip:

Killarney Minis had an early start last Sunday morning, hitting the road to travel to Dublin to partake in the Aviva National Mini’s Festival. This festival took place on the hallowed turf of the Aviva Stadium, the home of Irish Rugby!

The Killarney team got to walk in the footsteps of their heroes as they were welcomed and walked through the tunnel onto the pitch to take part in four games against teams from all over Ireland. We played our counterparts from Cavan, Dungarvan (Waterford), Blessington (Wicklow) and Ballyhaunis (Mayo), in glorious sunshine.

Afterwards, they were taken into the Ireland team dressing room, where they were allowed sit in seats just recently occupied by the likes of Peter O’Mahony, Jack Crowley and co. and even took a photo with the 6 Nations trophy!

The Killarney team played some brilliant rugby in the glorious sunshine with their parents, siblings and grandparents cheering them on.

All who travelled had a fabulous day and a huge thanks to our coaches and IRFU staff and volunteers (including our own Liam Murphy) who looked after them so well on the day.
