🏉 Sunday saw the KILK U18.5 girls play their 2nd game of the season, after last week’s game against Ballincollig was postponed due to the storms. 🌪️
This game was again away, played in fabulous sunshine ☀️ at Virgin Media Park against Dolphin RFC. Their pitch was in great condition and ideal conditions for a great game of rugby. 🏟️ Our girls picked up where they left off at the end of our last game, starting strong with the pack really working well again 💪 and scoring within 5 minutes ⚡, and again 15 minutes later. 🙌 Their 3rd try came off the back of a scrum 5m out, with 9 Muireann stealing a pick & go and cleverly offloading inside to 8 Nessa to blast over the line. 💥 Dolphin had some possession but our defence held strong 🛡️ and turned over a few times up to half time. The 2nd half started similar to the first with captain Isabelle scoring a great individual try after picking up a ball just outside their 22 and running in, breaking 2 attempted tackles on the way. 🔥 A backs score rounded off the game with Sarah scoring on the wing after good passing through the hands down the line 👏, to end the game 30-0. 🎉❤️🖤
🙏 Thanks to Dolphin players and management for the game, and their hospitality after the game, and thanks to the ref for the game. 🤝 And not forgetting our fabulous travelling support too! 📣 See you at the next one, at home this time against Bantry/Skibbereen on the 14th. 📅🏉
