Killarney RFC U14 Boys Team

Welcome to the Killarney RFC U14 Boys team – where players transition from Mini Rugby into the exciting challenge of the full Youth game, focusing on advanced skills, strategy, and competitive play.

Our U14 Boys squad is made up of players typically aged 13 and 14. This age group is a crucial stage in the player pathway, as we move towards understanding complex game plans, physical conditioning, and consolidating core skills within the full 15-a-side format.

At this level, the focus moves towards:

• Tactical Understanding: Developing positional awareness, set-piece execution, and advanced phases of play.

• Physical Development: Focusing on safe, effective contact skills, strength, and fitness specific to the Youth game.

• Team Cohesion: Building strong communication, discipline, and the mental resilience required for competition.

• Pathway Progress: Establishing the skill set required for success at the U16 and U18 youth levels.

Whether players are graduating from U13s or joining rugby for the first time, everyone is welcome to join our driven and inclusive squad.

Training & Fixtures

Our coaching team is experienced, Garda-vetted, and dedicated to supporting each player’s physical and technical development at this competitive stage.

• Training: Typically held twice a week at our home grounds in Aghadoe (Days/times determined by the coaching staff).

• Fixtures: The team competes in regular Munster Youth League fixtures, cup competitions, and friendly games against clubs across the province.

• Events: The squad participates in competitive tournaments, team-building activities, and social events to strengthen camaraderie.
