We are absolutely delighted to share the news that Killarney RFC’s own Danielle Naughton has been selected for the Munster U18 Girls squad ahead of this summer’s PwC Underage Interprovincial Series!
Danielle, who lines out for our U18 Girls team (joint with Abbeyfeale RFC), has been named in the final 30-player squad confirmed by Munster Rugby.
An Outstanding Performer
For those who have watched our youth girls’ teams progress, Danielle’s selection will come as no surprise. She has been an absolutely unbelievable player for our club—an outstanding, physical, and highly intelligent forward who consistently leads by example on the pitch. Her work ethic, passion, and skill have made her a vital part of our squad, and we are incredibly proud to see her earning her red jersey.
The Interpro Road Ahead
The Munster U18 squad is currently in the middle of a comprehensive training programme based out of Cork and Limerick. They will be working under a top-class coaching ticket led by Head Coach Damien Hicks, alongside Evan Cusack (Backs) and Leah Lyons (Forwards).
The PwC U18 Girls Interprovincial Series gets underway next month with some fantastic fixtures lined up:

August 8th: Munster v Leinster (Virgin Media Park, Cork, 5:30pm)

August 15th: Munster v Ulster (Virgin Media Park, Cork, 5:30pm)

August 22nd: Connacht v Munster (Dexcom Stadium, Galway)

August 30th: Play-offs & Finals (Mullingar RFC)
This is a massive achievement for Danielle, her family, and her youth coaches who have supported her development along the way. We encourage all club members to get down to Cork to support Danielle and the Munster squad next month if you can!
