Aghadoe played host to an absolute thriller today as the Killarney RFC U18.5 boys secured a hard-fought 30-27 victory over a resilient Old Christians RFC side. In what can only be described as a classic “game of two halves,” supporters were treated to a high-scoring opening followed by a defensive grit-fest in the closing stages.
Killarney came out of the blocks firing, putting on a clinical display of attacking rugby in the first period. The home side managed to cross the whitewash multiple times, building a solid 26-19 lead by the half-time whistle.

The second half proved to be a far more tense affair. Old Christians refused to back down, tightening their defence and clawing their way back into the match. Killarney found themselves under immense pressure, surrendering their comfortable lead as the visitors found their rhythm.
With the scoreline narrowing and the clock ticking down, it became a nervous, nail-biting encounter. However, the Killarney boys showed immense character to hold their nerve, securing the crucial points needed to edge out the win and keep their Munster Cup campaign on track.
